Supporting Animal Shelters

The war in Ukraine has resulted in an ever growing number of abandoned, injured and starving dogs, cats and other domesticated animals. There are many aid organizations operating in Ukraine dedicated to humanitarian aid but not so many deal with the animal side of things. Many civilians have started their own makeshift shelters to help these displaced animals and BTI is currently supporting several of them with food, medical supplies, generators, diesel fuel and money to help pay for veterinarian visits and other needs.

Without our generous donors and Blue Team International volunteers trying to help these shelters, some of them would not be able to carry on the good work that they do.

Our own BTI members, Nigel Watson and Jan Dyer are constantly working to keep these shelters funded. Hailing from the Isle of Wight in England, the pair make trips into Ukraine when possible to visit the shelters in person and deliver supplies while getting a better understanding on what is needed in each location.
